Promises are meant to be kept especial when it comes to the community. On the 17th of April 2024, the Tshwane Metro Police Department, together with other law enforcement agencies, kept the promise they made to the residence of City of Tshwane which is rooting out crime and keeping the city safe and clean.

During the operation between Wolwespruti and Plastic View, a number of 14 illegal erected shacks were found and destroyed, two cases of alcohol, a small bag of dagga, two cases of sorghum beer and a suspicious bag with tablets and lotions.

At the other separate operation in Eerstefabrieke, a stolen truck was found by two Tshwane Metro Police Department members which was reported stolen to the Tshwane Metro Police Department in Region 6.

The Tshwane Metro Police Department looked into the car and no suspect was found as a result they contacted the South African Police Service as the truck was already registered as a stolen car with them and it was taken to the South African Police Service (SAPS) 13.

With a successful operation by members of the Tshwane Metro Police Department, the Chief of Police, Commissioner YCR Faro, commended the members for their hard and excellent work.

“Lawlessness has no place in the city and perpetrators will be dealt with decisively,” said the Chief of Police, Commissioner YCR Faro. “Well done to the Tshwane Metro Police Department” he added.
