Lesiba Francis Machaka has been doing this since 2014-not because the road was easy, but because the story demanded to be told. A journalist, editor, and mentor living with disability, he has built his career on the belief that the press belongs to everyone, including those the system tries to sideline.

At Student Living SA, Lesiba serves as Editor and Mentor, shaping editorial strategy while investing directly in the next generation of South African voices. At Seipone Newspaper, he operates as a senior journalist and website administrator-keeping the digital newsroom running and the stories flowing.

Armed with a background spanning Media Studies and Journalism, Business Administration, IT, and Finance Management, he approaches every story the way a craftsman approaches a machine: with precision, purpose, and no wasted motion. When he is not in the newsroom, he is in the classroom of life-mentoring young journalists to write with courage and publish with integrity.
