Amahle and Siphosethu Koom are vocalists and songwriters renowned for their stage name Sai Hle. The Koom sisters were born in the Eastern Cape in the City of Gqeberha and they were bred in the East Rand of Johannesburg in Gauteng Province.

The 23- and 27-year-olds are talented AfroSoul musicians whose singing passion began at a tender age.

The sensational duo began their musical journey by singing in church choirs, school choirs, and talent shows.

While still in their pre-teens, they sang backing vocals for South African gospel artists, gaining early exposure to the music industry.

They worked alongside the likes of Phindy Sibiya (singer), Scales (song writer), Sne Hlengetwa (saxophonist in Benjamin Dube’s choir), Bokkie Ult (DJ & Producer), LordJazz (Producer), Lebo Rameetse (SA Idols vocal coach) and Mihi Tuwi (jazz musician), just to name a few.

Sai Hle narrates stories in their music that are both relevant to them personally and to those who listen and enjoy the work they produce.

With lyrics that are inspired by real life experiences, Sai-Hle weaves storytelling with catchy melodies in every verse and that is what makes their music peculiar.

Sai Hle reiterated that the world is awash in beautiful sounds, as a result, many of the artists who have inspired their creative process come from different genres and practice different techniques.

The beautiful duo vocalists are inspired by the best in the industry such as the late Brenda Fassie, TKZ, Benjamin Dube, Lusanda, Oskido, Dj Clock, Hugh Masekela, Simphiwe Dana, Sibongile Khumalo and Victor Ntoni.

In international music circles Sai Hle has been influenced by the late Whitney Houston, Gregory Porter, Dennis Ferrer, the Knowles sisters, and many others creating soul-stirring sounds.

Their first release in 2021 was Let Me, followed by Impilo in the same year. In 2022 they released two songs titled Thixo and Ngomso.

Sai Hle recently had the honour of having one of their hit tracks, Thixo on the new and hot EP of Dj, personality and host of one of the biggest podcast platform in the country, Mac G whose body of work is currently topping the charts.
