The talented young star, Mpho Sebeng, known for his roles in popular tv shows such as Zero tolerance, Soul buddyz, and the Savage beauty tragically passed away in a car accident on Sunday, 05 May 2024, in Klerksdorp.

South Africa’s entertainment industry is reeling in shock as news of actor Mpho Sebeng’s untimely death spreads.

Sebeng’s vehicle was involved in a fatal collision claiming his life at the tender age of 30. The news has sent shockwaves through the industry, with colleagues, friends, and fans mourning the loss of a bright talent whose star was on the rise.

A friend and an actor, Zola Hashatsi expressed his grief on social media, “it is with sad, deep, painful, heart to announce the passing of the young brother and a friend. I am not okay. His star was only beginning to shine. What a loss, he was only 30 years young,” he said.

Sebeng’s talent and charisma on screen had captured the hearts of many, and his potential for greatness was undeniable. His contributions to the entertainment industry will be remembered and cherished, and his absence will be deeply felt.

As the news of his passing continues to spread, tributes are pouring in from fans colleagues, and industry professionals, all celebrating the life and legacy of Mpho Sebeng.

Mpho Sebeng has appeared in the following Tv shows and movies namely, zero tolerance (2001_ 2006), Soul buddyz (2011), Ring of lies (2016), Savage beauty (2022) and Miseducation (2023).

Lindelwa Mbatha who is a student at Creative Arts college commented, “I loved Mpho Sebeng as his fan, loved his work and I was inspired by him, it is sad to hear that he is no longer with us. I have always prayed that one day I would meet him like other actors when we are on practical’s, but that will no longer happen,” she said.

Beyond his talent as an actor, Sebeng was known for his kindness, humility, and respect towards others. He was a mentor to many uprising actors, always willing to share his knowledge and experience to help others succeed in the competitive world of entertainment.

The Sebeng family spokesperson, Oupa Morake released a statement later on about the death of Mpho Sebeng confirming to the media and public about the passing of Sebeng and asked for people to continue holding the family in their prayers.
