On Tuesday August 06, 2024, Pastor Paseka Mboro’s Incredible Happenings Church in Katlehong was burned to the ground after a group of youths marched to the premises.
Scores of schoolchildren skipped school and joined community members to protest at the church after Mboro’s violent incident at a Katlehong school on Monday.
Pastor Paseka Mboro, real name Paseka Motsoeneng, and three others were arrested on Monday for forcibly removing two pupils, believed to be his grandchildren, from a school in Katlehong. The dispute is about maintenance and custody of the children after their mother died.
A viral video shows Mboro and several men, including a bodyguard with what looks like a replica rifle, intimidating and harassing teachers. Mboro was also seen attacking staff with a panga.Mboro and the others face charges of assault, reckless handling of a firearm, unregistered security services, malicious damage to property, and intimidation.
