South African singer Tyla had a fantastic moment as she won her very first Grammy for the catchy song “Water” in the brand-new Best African Music Performance category.

She managed to beat other strong contenders like Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Strrr, and Asake from Nigeria.Tyla, also known as Tyla Laura Seethal, was overjoyed when she heard the exciting news.

At just 22 years old, she couldn’t believe, she said, “I won a Grammy at 22 years old. Guys, you don’t know me. My name is Tyla. I’m from South Africa, and last year God decided to change my whole life.”

Expressing her gratitude, she thanked God, her team, and her family, with a special mention for her mother, saying, “I know my mother’s crying somewhere in here.” This Grammy win is a huge milestone for Tyla, showing how her music is reaching hearts around the world and making a big impact on the global stage.
