PIANIST and co-producer at Nkabi Records, Dumisani Vilakazi, better known as Dumezweni from Nhlazatshe in Mpumalanga, released his new single titled Amandla featuring Xowla, Professor, AmaTycooler and Focus.

He believes this is a song of encouragement for those going through difficult times.

The 26-year-old has over seven years of experience in playing live instruments. His music journey started with playing at church and expanded to meeting other musicians and learning to play other genres.

He believes the song will bring hope and inspiration to the hustlers whose wish is to change situations at home. The song Is a prayer for strength and prosperity, as he wishes everyone who wakes up and goes to work to do it for the betterment of their families.

“We’re working to change our lives. What we don’t have today, we might tomorrow. Hence, I’m saying, God, please give me strength to make my home better and be able to put something on the table,” he said.

The song was released under Stalliontainment, a record label owned by Xolani Tshabalala, better known by Xolwa Stallion from Nkabi Nation. Dumezweni has worked with Kananelo Mkhwanazi, a co-producer at Nkabi Records who introduced him to Xolwa and the rest of the nkabi nation. This was also his first biggest project by Inkabi Zezwe which was formed by Big Zulu & Sjava.

“When you do something, you’ve never done before, you grow out of your comfort zone. I didn’t know their sound, and they were busy with the Inkabi Zezwe album,” Dumezweni said. He said they did more projects including Imizwa album by Lwa Ndlunkulu, with hits like Eyami and the latest one, Ngise’s Congweni, by Big Zulu.
