A shocking discovery was made on 4th October 2024 at the Atteridgeville cemetery when suspects were caught in the act of desecrating graves. The individuals, believed to be drug addicts, confessed to digging up and removing human remains.
According to reports, the suspects claimed they used the remains for smoking purposes. Authorities are currently investigating whether the remains are being sold to drug manufacturers or used for other illicit activities.
Local law enforcement is working to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Concerned community members have called for increased security at the cemetery to prevent further incidents.
“I hope we will be taken seriously regarding the need for more security. We don’t want to wake up to more empty graves,” said one resident.
“This is a desecration of our loved ones’ final resting place,” another resident added. “We demand justice and protection.”
As investigations continue, the community is seeking answers and justice for the disturbed souls.
