The University of Zululand (UNIZULU) also known as Ungoye, recently witnessed a momentous occasion as students, faculty, and families came together to celebrate the culmination of years of hard work and dedication at the university’s graduation ceremony on the 09th of May 2024, at King Bhekuzulu Hall, KwaDlangezwa Campus, KwaZulu-Natal.

The event, served as a testament to the academic excellence and personal growth of the graduating class. For many students, graduation is not just the receipt of a diploma; it symbolizes the overcoming of obstacles, the pursuit of knowledge, and the realization of dreams.

Each graduate has a unique story to tell, filled with challenges, triumphs, and moments of personal growth. The ceremony provides an opportunity to reflect on these experiences and celebrate the journey that has led them to this significant milestone.

Nongcebo Nsele who attended the college of humanities commented,” this is a dream for every student here in unizulu to graduate and get their degrees, I wish my father was around to see me at the stage I am at, I know he was going to be proud of me, and I know even now he is proud of what I have achieved in life and I’m going to continue making him proud,” she said.

At the heart of the graduation ceremony is the recognition of academic achievement. As graduates walk across the stage to receive their diplomas, they are applauded not only for their intellectual prowess but also for their resilience and determination.

Faculty members, mentors, and peers join in celebrating their accomplishments, acknowledging the countless hours of study, research, and dedication that have brought them to this moment.
Anotha Cebekhulu a first-year student in diploma in Sport science (sport exercise and technology) at University of Zululand commented, “it is my first year experiencing such beauty, other students looking good and obtaining their degrees, I’m inspired to do more also to reach this level of achievement,” she said.
