It has been reported that the Hlongwane family experienced a tragedy on December 31, 2023. It is further noted that the bodies of family members were indeed discovered on the scene, in the area they were residing, which was heavily affected by adverse weather conditions.
According to statements from the department spokesperson, Mr. Siboniso Mngadi, the Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the grieving family during this difficult time. He emphasized that the department is actively working with relevant authorities and municipalities to provide support and assistance in dealing with the aftermath of the disaster.
