Radio and TV presenter Dineo Ranaka is taking a break from the limelight and moving to the kitchen. The former radio host has opened a new restaurant called The Untrained Chef in Wynberg, Joburg.

“You know, sometimes you gotta disappear and just mind your business … don’t mind my silence, it’s super healthy. It’s wholesome,” Dineo captioned her instagram post.

She teams up with the Purple Chef, Barney Jiri, for her new restaurant. The celebrated media personality revealed that the idea was born in 2017. However, seven years later, Dineo Ranaka opened her first restaurant. She is undoubtedly one of the few celebrities who own a restaurant.

According to Dineo she is just a home cook who loves to cook, but have surrounded herself with a team of very skilled culinary chefs that head her kitchen… “I love to cook and am good at it, so why not?” She said.

“We are the place you come to for guilt-free eating… We are very mindful in our kitchen practices and cooking practices, and we also encourage mindful eating” She added.

The media personality is undoubtedly stepping back from the spotlight and moving into the kitchen. Dineo Ranaka went off the hook against the backdrop of her depression woes. Earlier this year, she left Mzansi concerned when she deleted all her social media posts. Nonetheless her recent post has since gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped. Fans and fellow celebrities quickly flooded her comments section with congratulatory messages.
