Tyla Cancels North American Tour for Health Reasons

The South African singer known for her hit song “Water” Tyla, has cancelled her upcoming tour in North America due to a health concern.

Tyla announced on Thursday, March 07, that she postponing and cancelling her international tour date.

The Grammy award-winning singer took to her Instagram page to inform her fans that she had been consulting doctors but was not getting better.

Tyla informed her followers, known as the “Tygers”, that she has been advocating for pain relief every year for the past decade.

“I visit hospitals and doctors severely, as I have hope but the pain is overwhelming and the situation is terrible,” she said in a statement.

As for the ‘Tygers,’ be assured, “we look forward to seeing and hearing from you again and again.”

Tyla admitted that her illness almost led to her death, but when it reached a critical point, she didn’t give up.

She expressed her desire to continue bringing joy to people in remote areas despite the challenges of her injury making it difficult for her to sustain life.

“It’s tough to miss out on vital opportunities in life while God provides other solutions,” she said.

Lastly, she stated that her dedicated team of supporters will ensure she rises and takes charge.

She assured all her North American fans who have bought tickets to her upcoming concerts that they should expect delays in their refunds but not to forget to start new days.

This is all in preparation for Tyla’s forthcoming album release on March 22.

Meanwhile, her post garnered more 300 000 reactions, with more than 5,000 comments.

Her fans and supporters, including celebrities like Amapiano singer LadyDu_SA, and Media personalities such as Penny Lebyane and Melani Bala flooded the comments section expressing solidarity and well wishes.

@ladydu_sa commented: “God will restore. We love you, sis. You’ll be back in no time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️get well soon.”

“Sending good vibes and healing to u Nana….rest grrrr,” @pennylebyane wrote.

@melzinbala said: “Oh no Take care of your health first❤️‍ .”
