Welcome: Tumelo Matlala Joins Student Living SA as Intern Journalist
Share on FacebookShare on X

Student Living South Africa is pleased to welcome Tumelo Matlala, a passionate and driven intern journalist, to the newsroom team.

Tumelo has a deep love for storytelling and a strong interest in uncovering meaningful, community-driven stories. He joins the platform with a focus on developing his skills in research, writing, and reporting, as he works to find and refine his voice in the media space.

Since 2019, Student Living SA has proudly mentored journalism interns from tertiary institutions across the country. Many of these young journalists have gone on to secure roles at national publications and community newspapers, building solid careers in the media industry. This continues to be one of our most meaningful achievements.

Publisher Christopher Mcinga shared his encouragement for the new intern:

“Tumelo shows great potential. We are confident he will grow through this journey and rise to become a strong voice in journalism. We motivate him to excel and continue living his calling.”

Tumelo’s addition strengthens our commitment to shaping future media leaders who report with heart, skill, and purpose.
