Student Living SA is proud to welcome Omphile Maebane, a final-year journalism student at Tshwane University of Technology, to our growing team of young media voices.

Omphile brings strong storytelling skills and a passion for impactful journalism. She has already made her mark by contributing to community newspapers like Rekord Noweto and JournExpress, and recently covered the 2024 National Elections at the IEC Results Centre.

With experience across print, digital, and radio, Omphile uses words to inform, inspire and connect with diverse audiences.

Sharing her thoughts on joining Student Living SA, Omphile said:

“My journey has shaped me into a focused, creative, and reliable individual who believes in the power of communication to make a difference. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to expand my writing beyond newsrooms and to use my voice and skills to support, engage, and represent fellow students.”

Her dedication and energy reflect the values of our platform — to uplift, train, and give space to the next generation of storytellers. Welcome to the team, Omphile!
