On the 15th of April 2024, Rise, a prominent political party in South Africa, orchestrated a spirited rally in the heart of Johannesburg’s inner city.

The event served as a platform for Rise’s leaders, volunteers, and organisers to unveil the Gauteng Plan—a comprehensive roadmap aimed at fostering safety, success, equality, and unity across the province. The rally witnessed the presence of notable figures within Rise, including the National Leader, Songezo Zibi, the Premier Candidate for Gauteng, Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, and the Gauteng Provincial Convenor, Tebogo Moalusi.

Their collective presence underscored the party’s commitment to driving positive change in Gauteng.Mabine Seabe, the National Communication Director of Rise, articulated the urgent need for new leadership in Gauteng.

He emphasized the importance of implementing tangible plans that prioritize the well-being and dignity of residents, challenging the status quo of hollow promises from the political establishment.

Lerato Mahoyi, a resident of Gauteng, echoed the sentiments of many attendees, expressing her anticipation to hear the concrete proposals put forth by the Gauteng Premier Candidate.

Her satisfaction with Vuyiswa Ramokgopa’s address highlighted the resonance of Rise’s vision with the aspirations of the province’s populace.
