Rumors of Mr. Harvey’s death, announced by Kentucky Radio Station, began spreading on social media, causing distress among his fans and followers. As a result, the news reporter issued a statement to clarify the false report about the American actor Steve Harvey’s passing.
“The fake news about Steve Harvey was not intentionally fabricated. The Twitter trend saying ‘Rest in Peace Harvey’ was mistakenly linked to Kentucky Radio Station KSR’s regular caller named Harvey Doyle,” commented Kentucky Radio Station host Matt Jones.
Radio host Matt Jones expressed his sadness over the passing of Doyle Harvey, a regular caller who shared the same surname as Steve Harvey. Doyle passed away on July 18th, and the news got mixed up with the famous Steve Harvey, causing confusion.
The false death report of the well-known television host left many people heartbroken, and they took to social media platforms like Facebook and X.com (formerly known as Twitter) to express their sadness and send their condolences to Mr. Steve Harvey’s family and friends.
“I had a slight panic attack. Do not leave us yet! We need you to make us laugh more!” commented Mob Doll on X.com.
As a comedian, Steve Harvey turned the news into a joke by posting a meme featuring himself with a funny facial expression and the caption, “Me seeing that ‘Rest in Peace Harvey’ is trending.”
