Grammy Award-winning South African musician Tyla has released her self-titled album, ‘TYLA’. The debut album features her viral hit ‘Water’, for which she won the Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards.
Released under Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, the 14-track album includes the Grammy award-winning hit single ‘Water’, along with a remixed version featuring American rapper Travis Scott. Tyla has also collaborated with artists such as Kelvin Momo, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G on her debut album.
Tyla describes her music as a mixture of pop, R&B, Afrobeats, and amapiano. She expressed her excitement about experimenting with new sounds while maintaining her signature style.
Fans, whom Tyla affectionately calls ‘Tygas’, have been eagerly streaming her new album since its release. Many stayed up until midnight to listen to it. They have flooded her Instagram comments with words of encouragement and praise for her artistry.
