Telkom defeated the Mighty Warriors in the GBV Internal League 2024, held at the TUT Stadium in Soshanguve on the 19th of August 2024 at 18:30, securing a 2-0 victory.

In the match between Telkom and Mighty Warriors, which took place at the TUT Stadium, Soshanguve South Campus, Telkom emerged victorious with a score of 2-0. The game was played on Monday evening at 18:30, and Telkom broke the deadlock in the first half with Sambulo scoring the first goal at 18:52.

Telkom’s coach, Mpilo Zulu, commented on the game, saying, “We managed to pull off a 2-0 win, which is very important. However, I saw in tonight’s game that we need to improve on how we take our chances and score more goals. We are lacking in goals. We will work on creating more chances. I think we had a fair game, and I congratulate the team.”

In the second half, Telkom scored another exciting goal, this time by Mahlatse at 19:45. After 90 minutes, Telkom secured a 2-0 victory over the Mighty Warriors. Tshenolo Maake remarked, “The game was tough as both teams showed great energy on the field and played fairly. Telkom did very well, and I want to congratulate them.”

Telkom’s team captain, Mahlatse, expressed confidence in their future performance, saying, “We will do better in the next game. We need to put more pressure on our training after tonight. The game today was fair, with both teams playing well. The referee was a bit hard on us, but we will address everything in tomorrow’s training.”

With this thrilling 2-0 victory, Telkom advances to the next round of the league and will face Student Villa in September.
