TikTok sensation, comedian, and actor Lebogang Ledwaba best known for the character name “Aus Velemina” has passed on the 10th of April after a short illness.
The Tiktok sensation grew up in Atteridgeville and Mamelodi, townships in Pretoria. Despite the challenges he faced, Lebogang pursued his passion for entertainment and became one of South Africa’s most beloved influencers.
His unique blend of comedy and music resonated with audiences of all ages, making him a cherished figure in South African entertainment.
According to Lebogang’s manager and promoter, Jarome Thabiso Sachane, Lebogang’s career was not just about entertainment, he was also dedicated to mentoring young artists and actors. His impact extended beyond the entertainment industry, as he used his platform to support various societies, businesses, NGOs, and private enterprises, helping them promote their brands and share important information.
“I came across him on Facebook and saw one of his funniest videos. I sent him a message to ask him to come to the studio and he agreed. He started his career with me and produced the hit Ditshele with King P Ash and Cheese Deep with Lejeje, Caliba and Aus Velemina,” said Jerome Thabiso Sachane.
Lebogang’s influence and legacy will endure, inspiring others to pursue their dreams with determination and passion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans.
“Any floral tributes may be delivered at Mokopane Street in Mamelodi East on Thursday, 18 April between 3pm and 6pm. The burial will take place on Saturday, 20 April at Heatherley Cemetery, Mamelodi East,” said Thabiso.
